We require no entrance fee or endowment - only a single all inclusive monthly rental, which includes:

 

Three meals a day, served

A call bell system in each apartment and bathroom

The Villas hires only Certified Nurses Aides. The three Sisters missioned here are all licensed Registered or Practical Nurses.

  • The Villas is sponsored by the Diocese of Columbus, and served by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm

    We are a non-profit facility
    We're small in size (only 42 apartments) which lends to our unique, caring, non-institutional setting.
    We are all one level - no stairs or elevators
    PLEASE NOTE: We regret to say that presently we cannot accommodate couples 
    Our State Residential Care Facility license
    is for SINGLE OCCUPANCY of each apartment. We do have four 'suites' which consist of a Room A and a Room B connected by a door - similar to hotel suites.
    We have a waiting list for couples, but as these rooms are occupied by single Residents presently, the occurrence of both rooms of a suite becoming available at the same time is very slim.
    BUT...
    We are planning to add on eight more apartments, hopefully available by the fall of 2008. These eight rooms WILL BE SUITES of connecting A and B sizes! So if you're a couple, contact us so as to get your applications in!

    Knowing that you - or your loved one - is in a safe environment and will receive the loving care and security that will permit them to enjoy life without the worry or concern of being alone, yet remain as independent as possible. Mother Angeline McCrory, foundress of the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm put it simply  - that we are: "...to clasp the hand of an aged person and give meaning to the autumn of life".

     A general layout of our studio-style (A Unit) apartments. It's not to scale, but gives you an idea of the proportions. We have two size apartments. Unit 'B', the larger of the two, has a living area of 17' by 17', and has a larger window.


     

    You bring  your own furniture to make your apartment uniquely yours. This is one of our "A" size rooms.

     


     We have beautiful common areas for you and your visitors to enjoy - including our lobby with the double sided fireplace


    Our Library - filled with old and current titles. It includes DVDs and videos - Large print books and books on tape. We also have scheduled visits from the Columbus Public Library on Wheels.


    Our Ice Cream Parlor! Yes - it does come with ICE CREAM!


    Our on-site Beauty/Barber Shop - where for a modest fee you can be kept looking your best - without venturing outside in inclement weather!


 

 

 

Our Residents enjoy good company and delicious meals in our bright and elegant dining room!

 

We are privileged to have Mass offered daily here at the Villas, It is a source of great comfort for our Residents.
  There There are many serene porches overlooking our beautiful property, allowing for quiet reflection time.
There are level, paved walk ways so you can enjoy it all!

Our Villa Residents keep busy!                      Ann volunteers her time as our switchboard/receptionist! The friendly helpful voice you hear when you call may be her!

There are planned activities and outings, organized by our full time Activity Director (there is Bingo, of course!) But there are also impromptu card games all over!


There's a weekly shopping trip to a nearby supermarket, allowing you to 'stock up' on provisions - or a favorite tasty treat! 

If you still drive, we have ample parking in our well lit parking lots - you just have to compete with the geese! A 'honk' of your horn usually moves them! They do 'honk' back, though!

 Buddy our facility dog has MANY adopted Grandmas and Grandpas! Here he's enjoying a refreshing 'Frosty Paws' with Wilma!

 

Is there any doubt where our loyalties lie?

 

 
There are wide, bright corridors with handrails,  making navigation easy. If you use a power chair or scooter, you'll have no problem here!

 

 

Of course, YOU decide what you want to do - what activities to participate in, or if you prefer, you can just relax in your room. However - we do our best to encourage you to join in!
